NewsLinks Account Deletion

Delete Your NewsLinks Account

At NewsLinks, we respect your decision to delete your account. If you wish to proceed, please follow the steps below:

How to Delete Your Account

  1. Open the NewsLinks App on your device.
  2. Navigate to the Settings Page:
    • Tap on the menu icon (☰) located at the top-left corner of the screen.
    • Select “Settings” from the sidebar menu.
  3. Access Account Settings:
    • Scroll down to the “Account Settings” section.
  4. Initiate Account Deletion:
    • Tap on “Delete Account”.
  5. Confirm Deletion:
    • A confirmation popup will appear with the message “Delete Account?”.
    • If you are sure you want to delete your account, tap “Delete” to confirm.
    • If you change your mind, tap “Cancel” to return to the previous screen.

Important Information

  • Irreversible Action: Deleting your account is permanent and irreversible. All your personal data associated with your account will be deleted from our servers.
  • Data Deletion:
    • Data That Will Be Deleted:
      • Personal information (name, email address, contact details).
      • Account preferences and settings.
      • Saved articles and reading history.
    • Data That May Be Retained:
      • Transaction records or logs required for legal, regulatory, or security purposes may be retained for a maximum of 90 days after account deletion.
  • Data Retention Period: Any retained data will be securely stored and deleted after fulfilling legal obligations, within 90 days.
